Description
Ganga Aarti is a worship of the Goddess Ganga (Ganges river) who is the protector, purifier, and mother of life. This ceremonial worship is considered as holy in Hindu mythology.
Uniformly dresssed Performers will begin this ceremony with the blowing of a Conch shell, which eliminates all negative energy and the waving of incense sticks or Agarbattis/incense sticks in different patterns followed by circling of huge flaming oil lamps/diyas. The movement of the lamps is synchronized with the musical chants of mantras/singing hymns.
