What is Ritu Shanti Pooja?
Ritu Shanti or Rajaswala Shanti is an important Hindu ritual performed when a girl attains puberty for the first time. Based on the date, time, and nakshatra, priests check if there is any dosha and perform the required shanti rituals.
This pooja mainly includes Punyahavachanam, Ganapathy Pooja, and Kalasha Pooja. Through Vedic mantras, holy water is energized and sprinkled on the girl for purification and blessings.
If any dosha is present, Bhuvaneshwari Shanti Homam, Navagraha Shanti, and Nakshatra Shanti are also performed.
