Description

The Panch Bhoota Sthalas are five temples in South India dedicated to Lord Shiva, representing the manifestation of the five elements of nature (Panch Bhootas) — Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space. These temples are located in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, and each one symbolises a specific element through its form of worship, architecture, or natural phenomena.

List of Pancha Bhoota Temples:

1. Ekambareswarar Temple in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu – Prithvi (Earth).
2. Srikalahasti Temple in Srikalahasti, Andhra Pradesh – Vayu (Air).
3. Arunachaleswara Temple in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu – Agni (Fire).
4. Chidambaram Temple in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu – Akasha (Sky).
5. Jambukeswara Temple in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu – Jala (Water).

Together, these five temples offer a profound philosophical representation of how the divine permeates all aspects of the physical world. Pilgrimage to all five is considered spiritually uplifting and symbolises unity with nature and cosmic balance.

Basic Itinerary: (Can be customised as per the requirements)

Day 1: Chennai – Kanchipuram:

Pick up from Chennai airport. Check in at the hotel by noon. After Lunch, proceed to have Darshan at Ekambareswarar Temple (1) in Kanchipuram. Return to Chennai for a night’s stay.

Day 2: Chennai – Srikalahasti – Tiruvannamalai:

In the Morning, around 7:30 AM, have breakfast (Room checkout), and then proceed to have Darshan at Srikalahasti Temple (2), Andhra Pradesh. Reach Tiruvannamalai hotel and check in for a Night stay by 10:00 PM post dinner.

Day 3:  Tiruvannamalai:

In the Morning, around 7:30 AM, have breakfast and proceed to have Darshan at Arunachaleswara Temple (3). Have lunch by 1:00 PM and Night stay at the Tiruvannamalai hotel.

Day 4:  Chidambaram:

In the Morning, around 7:30 AM, have breakfast (Room Checkout), and proceed to Chidambaram and have Darshan at Chidambaram Temple (4), then have Lunch, proceed to Tiruchirappalli for a Night stay.

Day 5:  Tiruchirappalli:

In the Morning, around 7:30 AM, have breakfast (Room Checkout). Proceed to have darshan at Jambukeswara Temple (5). After Lunch, drop off at Trichy airport to reach your destination.
